L'Oreal Studio Secrets Primer

Best one I have tried, thus far!

I have tried low end brands, like Rimmel and CoverGirl. I have tried prestige line primers, such as SmashBox and Lise Watier. L'Oreal is a 'middle of the road' brand, but, in my opinion, my very humble opinion (lol) THIS STUFF IS THE BEST.

It's texture is silicone-like...glides on, fills in every line, crack, pore. You name it! It's like crack-fill.

And if you're on of those b!tc#e& with perfect skin, you can benefit as well. Primer will extend the wear of your foundation or powder. It also enhances your complexion, even if you don't wear make up!

For anyone who hasn't tried a primer before, here's how it's done:

Cleanse your skin,
Toner/astringent (if you use it),
Moisturize (which you better!),
Apply primer
Apply foundation/powder/blush

It also helpts to maximize the benefits of your moisturizer, as it acts as a 'sealer' and locks it in.

Sounds very 'industrial', doesn't it?! :)

Tip of the Day: Stop using sponges to apply your foundation!!! They absorb more product than you use. Major waste of your product. Invest in a foundation brush (Vasanti is my fave, but even a cheap one is better than a sponge!) and save money long-term.

Later tators!

MNY Falsies Mascara

Hey Buddies,

This is a product I tried before it was launched in the Fall, and LOVED it!

I'm not normally a huge Maybelline fan, but since trying Maybelling Falsies Mascara, I believe anything is possible! :P

Maybelline is now Maybelline New York. You will see me refer to it as MNY on here. Since the NY was added, this company has came a long way! Did you know it's part of the L'oreal Paris, Vichy, Lancome, La Roche Posay family?

Their products are richer, more modern, higher pigment and more innovative than ever.

K, back to product.. see?!?! I told you I can get off-topic! Anyhow, this product claims to give your lashes the false effect. And it does just that, effortless! I loathe waterproof mascaras. The first time I tried Falsies, I was given the waterproof formula, and loved it. And the regular is even better! I have used the same mascara since grade 10, while trying a new one every couple of months and always going back. Now, I go between "old faithful" and my "new fave" MNY Falsies. There are about 4 in my stash I am yet to try, so stay tuned, but for now, this one rocks. This is a must-have.

"Cool" Stuff!

Here's my first review!

I have so many other products that I am in love with, and many I want to let you know not to bother wasting your money on, but this one is new, and fresh in my mind, and very 'cool'!

The product I tried is Revlon ColorStay Aqua Mineral Make Up.

It's a mineral powder and it's claim is to keep your skin hydrated, instantly and all day, and give a luminous finish.

Anyone who knows me, knows my skin would make a great place to drill for oil. I'm have the oiliest skin of anyone I know, and I see alot of faces.

I normally don't recommend mineral powders for dry skin, as they tend to make any dryness appear way worse. But this stuff is made for dry skin!

The really neat thing is when I put it on, I thought my brush was wet! It feels wet! Weird, but it really feels wet and cool on your skin! The second time I tried it, same thing, so it's not the brush, it's the product.v It does have a very fine shimmer to it, don't think sparkle, that gives the luminousity. It comes with a small brush, that I'm not a fan of. It's not near enough coverage for me, but I like my foundation to act as camoflauge. When I leave the house, I don't want to look anything like myself! :) As a powder to set my liquid foundation, I liked it.

All in all, it's an ok product. I forget the price, but I'm guessing $18.99. It's great for someone with an already great complexion, who just wants to hydrate and make your skin look finished. Where it's so fine in texture, just pierce a few holes through the protective sticker. If you remove the sticker, and it moves around in a cosmetic bag, it's going to be a mess.

Oh, and speaking of 'cool', Gillette Satin Care has a shave gel out, "Cooling Sensation". It has Eucalyptus and menthol listed as ingredients. This stuff is awesome! After a shower or bath, even after you are all dried off, your skin is still tingling!

Both of these products would be awesome in the Summer months.

Stay tuned... I have been thinking of what to do with all of my products I have, I'm thinking of doing draws from people who comment on my blog. Don't worry, I'll let you know, so you don't HAVE to comment now. :)

Am I On?!?! Testing, 1, 2 3....

Well, here it is. My blog.

This isn't the first blog I created. Nope... I had one before that was all about my triumphs and success with jogging. Don't search for it. It no longer exists. :)

So the intention of my blog is to share with you, my friends, some knowledge and personal opinion on different products I try. I try many new things a week, and hope to keep this active and updated on a regular basis.

I'm a Cosmetic Sales Manager, and have been in the industry for over 5 years. I welcome your feedback, comments and question. After all... I am your guinea pig!
